The first stage of the Maryborough RSL renovations will involve a major extension to the northern side of the building. A new gaming room, sports bar and restrooms will be added downstairs where the client requested warm materials, high impact ceilings and custom carpets with eye-catching organic designs.

 

The function spaces on the second level of the extension are to be a huge step up from the rest of the RSL with glamour being the key word. To keep within the strict budget, paint finishes, veneer walls and budget drapery will be taken advantage of, while bronze mirror, marble cladding, high-end light fittings and custom wall panel details will add to the formality of the spaces and help the design reach the prestigious feel the function rooms require.

In collaboration with Brand and Slater Architects, this project is due for completion in late 2015.
